On Tuesday 1 May, the MS Society hosted its third Annual Stop MS Appeal Lecture. Taking place at The Royal College of Physicians the engaging and informative talk was given by esteemed Professor Robin Franklin Director of the UK MS Society Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair.
Professor Franklin’s talk focused on the recent advances in the understanding of MS and how we are translating these into real treatments. He also provided updates on regenerative therapies for MS and the process from the laboratory to the clinic.
We were also thrilled to be joined by several of our scientific ambassadors and young researchers on the night whose careers as MS scientists, we were able to fund through the generosity and kindness of our supporters by awarding fellowships and studentships.
The enlightening evening concluded with a Q&A session; which gave our guests and those watching the lecture online, a great opportunity to ask researchers their questions about a wide range of MS research.
Thanks to all those who were able to join us, it was truly an inspiring evening and we are excited to share with you further updates the future will bring!
